Harris Hauls in the Heat
Jerald Harris piloting the Harris Movers sprinter showed the way Saturday night on the first real hot race night of the summer season. Heat races started the night with JD Coats and Ryan Price taking wins. Bill Rice and JD Coats paced the field to green with Rice out first as Harris made the quick outside pass to second. Rice stayed out front until lap three when Harris moved to the front bringing along Tom Humphries and Ryan Price. Harris lead as laps were clicking away with the front bunch pulling away from the rest but they couldn’t shake each other. With the white flag waving Harris got a few car lengths ahead but Price was all over Humphries trying one last low charge but it came up short at the line with Jerald Harris out front and Humphries staying second. At the line it was Jerald Harris, Tom Humphries, Ryan Price, Anthony Linkenhoker, JD Coats, French Grimes, Chris Ware, Mike Keeton, Bill Rice, Andrew Wroten and Glenn Worrell. Nest week it’s time for another Fast Friday event at Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City, NC. on Friday night July 29th.
