Lawson Leads Last Half to Win

Jerald Harris looked real strong the first half of the last dirt race of the year but Brian Lawson didn’t give up and took over at half way to win his second race of the year. Bill Rice and Daren Bolac took heat wins before it was off to the feature. Bill Rice and Chris Ware lead the field and Rice was out first but sweeping around the top to get to the front was Jerald Harris and on lap two it was Harris out front and trying to run away. Mike Leraas moved to second but Lawson was on the way. Getting by Leraas for second as a caution came out for a quick spin was all he would need as Harris tried hard to hold Lawson off but he went high in turn two and that was all he need as Lawson swept in to the lead and that was to be the winning move as he stayed smooth and fast all the way to the waving checkered flag. At the line it was Brian Lawson, Jerald Harris, Tom Humphries, Mike Leraas, Glenn Worrell, Daren Bolac, Anthony Linkenhoker, Bill Rice, Ed Mesaros, Chris Ware, French Grimes, Ron Moyers and Josh Perreault. Next week it the season finale at Shenandoah Speedway on Saturday night October 1st.
